Users with permission level of Quality Owner, Approver and Editor can revise documents.
Note: This video was created using V1.25.13. Enzyme is updated weekly so some elements may change.
Access Document Control under Process in the Navigation bar.
In the Folders section, click on the document you want to view.
Once you select the document, select New Revision.
This will open the document revision window.
Title: If needed, change the title of the document.
Change Description: You may enter a reason why this document is changing.
Effective Date: If needed, select the effective date. If it is left blank the document will be effective upon approval.
File: Upload the revised document
If you have linked your Google Drive account (in your User Profile) you will be able to also upload a file from Google Drive account.
Attachments: Upload any attachments, if needed. Any changes to attachments will also trigger a new revision. Enzyme will automatically generate redlines for you (based on the current file you uploaded and the previous approved version). However, if you would like to upload redlines, you can do so as an attachment.
If needed (and enabled by the Quality Owner), you can change this document to a form or child document. To do so, turn the toggle ON.
Revision: Select if you want this revision to be an engineering or production revision. Once a document has been set as a production and approved, it cannot be reverted back to an engineering document. Only unreleased documents can be reverted from production versioning to engineering lifecycle.
Document Type: The current document type will be shown, you can change it if needed.
Document Number: When enabled by Quality Owners, you can set the document number, otherwise it will be auto assigned.
Click on Revise when done.
In this revision modal, Quality Owners will see the option of creating new quiz questions. Learn more in the How to manage quiz questions for a document.
This document is now in a draft state and must be submitted for approval via a change request to be approved.
After the document is approved on a Change Request, if training was assigned by the Admin (through the training module), it will be distributed to the assigned users via a notification.
