Managing Documents

In the Document Control Module, users with permission level:

  • Viewer: Can only view approved documents

  • Editor: In addition to Viewer permissions, can also create and submit the document for approval through a change request.

  • Approver: In addition to Editor permissions, can approve documents.

  • Quality Owner: In addition to Approver permissions, they can manage folders and add quiz questions for documents.

Once a document has been created, it can always be revised and routed for approval.

‍Creating Forms and Child Documents

If Admins have enabled this feature, you will be able to create forms/child documents that are associated with parent documents.

Creating Forms


Forms are numbered using the parent document’s prefix and a F-suffix.

For example:
SOP001-F1 will be the first form of SOP001. A parent document may have multiple associated forms.

Creating Child Documents

Child documents are numbered using the parent document’s prefix and a numerical suffix.

For example:
SOP001-1 will be the first child document of SOP001. A parent document may have multiple child documents and associated forms.
